Missed Your Wind Cave Passport Stamp?

Wind Cave National Park has its passport cancellation stamp at the Wind Cave Visitor Center, located at the natural entrance to the cave near the park's southern boundary. The visitor center is where all cave tours depart and is the only staffed facility in the park.

A missing national park cancellation from Wind Cave is common for visitors who primarily come for the surface wildlife — bison, elk, and prairie dogs on the mixed-grass prairie — and never drive down to the cave entrance area. If you entered the park from the north via the scenic wildlife loop and watched the bison herds, you may not have continued to the visitor center at the south end. Cave tours often sell out in summer, and visitors who cannot get tickets sometimes leave without entering the building.
