Haleakalā National Park has passport cancellation stamps at the Park Headquarters Visitor Center (located at 7,000 feet elevation on the road to the summit) and at the Kīpahulu Visitor Center on the coastal side of the park near the Pools of Oheo. These two sections are not connected by any road within the park and require separate drives of over two hours from each other.
A missed national park stamp from Haleakalā commonly happens to sunrise visitors who drive to the 10,023-foot summit in the dark — sunrise reservations start as early as 3 AM — and pass the headquarters visitor center while it is closed.
